A convincing age transformation takes more than pasting on wrinkles. Two things keep the result believable:
AI Face Detection Before any aging happens, the tool uses computer-vision face detection to map your facial landmarks — the position and shape of your eyes, nose, mouth, jawline, and overall face contour. That map tells the model which features define your identity so they stay consistent through the transformation. It's also why a clear, front-facing photo with even lighting gives the best result, and why sunglasses, heavy filters, or strong shadows hurt accuracy.
Lifelike Generation From that map, the model regenerates your face at the target age. Aging up adds the real markers of getting older — fine lines, deeper wrinkles, skin laxity, dark spots, and greying, thinning hair. Aging down reverses them: smoother skin, fuller features, and the softer proportions of a younger face. The changes follow how faces actually age, so the older or younger version still looks like you, not a stranger.
